EFDN
The European Football for Development Network (EFDN) consists of more than 100 professional football clubs, leagues and FAs from 30 countries who are committed to their communities and social responsibilities and have the passion to cooperate and engage on a European level.
The network aims to promote the power of football as a tool for social development and support the efforts of the network members in their initiatives to use football to reach out to various target groups in their communities. This creates a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing in order to develop a diversity of training methods that will directly benefit communities throughout Europe.
EFDN provides guidance and support within the context of community and social responsibility in European football, including the areas of fundraising, programme design, development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation and communication.
HOW WE DO IT?
EFDN creates platforms to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences on a European level to enhance the quality and efficiency of national and local football for development initiatives. This is achieved through European exchange programmes for staff, volunteers and participants, international conferences and our online learning platform.
We design and develop programmes together with our network members and take the lead during fundraising processes. EFDN has raised more than EUR 5 million for its members in the last six years. By creating and disseminating resources, EFDN supports clubs, leagues and FAs during the set up of new programmes and the improvement of existing initiatives.
One of our main goals is also to create visibility and to raise awareness of the CSR programmes delivered by network members. Through our #Morethanfootball Actions Weeks campaign in 2020, we have reached more than 41 million people online.
In addition to these services, Monitoring and Evaluation is a key component throughout the EFDN’s strategic partnerships. We support our members in the reporting and evaluation of the impact and value of community and social responsibility programmes.
